SelbyFest Volunteer Form

This form is to be filled out when applying to volunteer for SelbyFest 2022. There are a range of roles and responsibilities you can choose from. For information about Roles and Responsibilities, including the Volunteer Policy for Selby Community House, please visit the following link:

    A requirement for volunteering with SelbyFest is to have a valid Working With Children's Check. Please submit a copy of your WWC here.

    Volunteer Policy

    Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities

    Waste Management (Cleaning):

    •  Throughout the fesitval the volunteers will clean any rubbish left unattended, putting it into the relevant bin
    • Volunteers will monitor whether bins are full and will empty them
    • Volunteers will ensure the right rubbish is in the correct bins

    Announcer: 

    • The volunteer will be provided a megaphone and will announce various activities throughout the festival
    • The volunteer will become a point of call for the public, asking questions about the timeline for the festival
    • The volunteer will announce to the patrons if any emergency, or issue occurs

    Cafe Attendant: 

    • The volunteers will be stationed at the Selby Cafe during the festival
    • The volunteers will be in charge of cafe sales including cash-handling and eftpos

    Promotional Team:

    • Before the festival, the volunteers will go to local businesses and put up posters and flyers
    • The volunteers will be provided with various sized posters to hand out
    • Locations for promotion include… Belgrave, Upwey, Tecoma, Monbulk and more

    Set-up Team:

    • The volunteers will need to arrive approximately 3 hours before the event begins
    • The volunteers will help the team set-up decorations, signage and other aspects of the festival
    • The volunteers may be required to help 3MDR radio with their set-up

    Pack-down Team: 

    • The Volunteers will remain approximately 2 hours after the festival to help pack-down
    • The volunteers will take down all decorations, signage and other aspects of the festival
    • The volunteers will do a basic clean-up of the Community House
